Spring Term

We are delighted to share that our Modeshift STARS accreditation application has been approved.

This fantastic achievement means we can proudly display the Modeshift STARS logo, showing that we are part of the National School Travel Awards and recognised for our commitment to promoting safe, active, and sustainable travel.

A special thank you and well-deserved credit goes to our amazing Junior Road Safety Officers for their dedication—especially their involvement in supporting Road Safety Week and encouraging children across the school to take part in activities and events.

We are so proud of everyone who helped make this possible. Let’s keep up the great work!

Autumn Term

Our new Junior Road Safety Officers have been embracing their role with enthusiasm this half term, attending online training with schools from all over Hampshire and then working hard in the run up to National Road Safety week. We have spoken to parents about how important it is to leave the pavement clear outside school at pick up times and have talked to all the children in assembly about the importance of 'Be Bright, Be Seen' as we move into the darker nights of Winter.

We had a wonderful time in Road Safety week teaching some of our younger children about crossing the road, using our new wiggle cars, and finally judged our poster competition, which was apparently the hardest thing they have ever had to do!

We are already looking forward to next term when we will be starting to look at ways that we may be able to improve parking around the school.
