Clubs
Our last gardening club session before the summer!
Mrs Miles and Mrs Graves had such a lovely last session with the children. We made sure that our garden had a good watering as the weather has been so hot. We then sat down for a homemade cake and ice lolly. We talked about all the things we had enjoyed and the new friends we had made. Thank you to all the children for helping to look after the garden and a special thank you to Mrs Miles for all her support and enthusiasm.
Gardening Club Week 6
Another lovely session in the sunshine! It is great to see the children making friends across Year R and Year 1. This week we made sure that we gave the plants lots of water as it has been so hot! The children also planted some sunflowers.
Gardening Club Week 5
This week we planted some beans, onions and flowers. We noticed that our sweet peas had flowered and smelt lovely!
Gardening Club - Week 3
This week we have been making bird feeders. It has been lovely to watch the children making new friends and having so much fun in our special place ?

Year R to Year 1 Transition Gardening Club
The children had a great time making the bug hotel today. The children showed a lot of care and concern for the mini beasts at Redlands carefully putting them into the hotel. Sienna found a ladybird larva which she showed the group.
The children have really enjoyed our transition gardening club. The children have a picnic lunch together followed by some gardening. It is a great opportunity for the children to meet some of the children who they will share a class with next year. The children have done lots of planting and we have even started growing a bean wigwam. Next week, we are going to be making a bug hotel. Special thank you to Mrs Miles (parent volunteer) who is running the club with Mrs Graves. We can't wait to taste some of the vegetables we have planted!
At Redlands, we always have a wide range of exciting and fun activities for the children to enjoy during lunch breaks or after school.
SpringTerm Clubs run from Monday 22nd January to Wednesday 28th March 2018.

Once your child has joined a club, please try and encourage them to attend each week. Lack of attendance may mean your child's place goes to another child.
